ICHRA

An Individual Coverage HRA lets you give employees a tax-free monthly amount to buy their own individual plans. Best when you want predictable costs and more employee choice.

Larger groups unlock structures that trade simplicity for control and potential savings — each step shifts more risk (and more of the reward for managing it well) onto the employer:

Level-funded plans — a stepping stone toward self-funding: fixed monthly payments with a potential refund in low-claims years.
PEOs (professional employer organizations) — pool your team with many others for large-group buying power, bundled with payroll and HR.
Self-insured / ASO with a TPA — the employer pays claims directly, a third-party administrator processes them, and stop-loss insurance caps the downside.
