MNsure Enrollment

MNsure-certified broker. We offer free help enrolling in coverage through MNsure — by phone, online, or in person during office hours.

Open Enrollment

⏰ Nov 1 – Jan 15 (verify MN dates each year)

Missed the window? Special Enrollment Periods

Certain life events open a 60-day Special Enrollment Period any time of year: losing other coverage (including a job-based plan or COBRA ending), getting married, having or adopting a child, moving to Minnesota, and certain income changes. Members of federally recognized Tribes can enroll through MNsure year-round. If something big just changed in your life, don’t assume you have to wait for fall — ask.

Financial assistance — Advanced Premium Tax Credits

MNsure is the only place Minnesotans can receive Advanced Premium Tax Credits (APTC) — income-based help that’s paid directly to your insurer each month to lower your premium. The amount rides on your household income estimate for the year, and it’s reconciled on your tax return — so estimating carefully matters, and reporting income changes during the year keeps surprises off your taxes. Enrolling through a MNsure-certified broker costs nothing extra and your subsidy is identical.

MinnesotaCare and Medical Assistance

Minnesota runs two public health-coverage programs — Medical Assistance and MinnesotaCare — with income-based eligibility and year-round enrollment. When you apply through MNsure, the application automatically checks whether you or your family members qualify. If you do, a navigator can be the right guide:

Do I need a Broker or a Navigator?

Both can help you enroll for free. The right choice depends on what you need.

If you need additional support, you contact the carrier’s customer service and go through a representative. You have straightforward needs and are comfortable reviewing options from one provider.
NavigatorFree, unbiased counselors who help you apply through MNsure and screen for public programs, but don’t recommend specific private plans. You need help creating an initial account, submitting an initial eligibility determination (or updating one), or you’re enrolled in a public program like Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare.
